Grant's family could see he was struggling

While work was going well since leaving the Army, my parents started to get concerned about my wellbeing. They thought I may be suffering from PTSD. Looking back over the past decade, I can now recognise how much I was struggling. Shutting myself away, missing military life, and masking my difficulties from those around me.

Even though he tried to hide it, Grant's family could see he was struggling. Erskine provided him with a safe home, and his family have noticed a difference. Your donation today can help families see their loved one smile again.

People like you saved Shaun’s life

My military career ended overnight. Soon after, I became homeless, and depression followed. In 2025, I tried to end my life. Not because I wanted to die, but because I couldn’t see a way for the pain to stop. But Erskine gave me safety, understanding, and a future.

Shaun reached points where the pain felt unbearable and the future felt completely out of reach. Then Shaun came to our Veteran’s Activity Centre in Forres and everything changed. Right now, there are Veterans in that same dark place he was, feeling they have nowhere to turn. Your donation can help change that.

How your donation can help

  • £25 could help a Veteran regain strength and independence through specialist physiotherapy.
  • £50 could support life-changing activities, counselling and companionship at our Veterans Activity Centres.
  • £110 could help provide furniture for a safe and welcoming home for a Veteran rebuilding their life.

More Veterans than ever are now turning to Erskine for support. With your help, we can offer safety, companionship and hope when they need it most.
